A worthy alternative to PhotoshopPhotoScape is a free photo editing program that has enough features and tools that anyone who takes their photos seriously will want to check it out. While not on the same level as Photoshop, photoScape is as close to any other free photo editor as you can get, and while it doesn’t look as good, it performs much better than most other photo editors with very potential a photo editor that will provide users with a large number of very useful tools and features to enhance and edit their images. While it doesn’t offer the same flexibility as Photoshop, it has a lot going for it, from setup to finished product. Install Photoscape Download Downloading and installing PhotoScape is quick and easy. Installation wizards can sometimes bundle other programs, so you’ll have to watch out for them, but the overall impression is easy. When you open the program, you will see an interface that looks a little strange. This is mainly because the home screen looks unbalanced, with a large image on the right and almost no image on the left. As soon as you select an option, it disappears, but that makes your first experience with the app a bit strange. Photo Editing Options with PhotoScape On a somewhat odd start screen, you are given two ways to interact with the photo editing software. Clicking on one of the icons around the main PhotoScape icon is one of them, or you can access it via the tabs at the top of the app. Here on the home screen you can also access the language option, other options and some other software from the same developer ie PhotoScape X for Mac, VideoBlend for Mac and Morning Kit for Android . The different photo editing options, as they appear in the tabs, are:
Photoscape: home screen viewer: file explorer Editor: simple yet useful photo editor Batch Editor: edit multiple files at once Pages: sort framed photo maker Combine: combine multiple images into one Animated Gif: create animated GIF Print: print your image Help: help file If you return to the home page, you can access all of these options and several others, including:
RAW Converter: Convert RAW to JPG Color Picker: Select a specific color Screenshot: Take a photo of what’s on the screen Splitter: Split the image into parts Rename: Rename an image file Paper Print: Prints an image on lined paper (music, graphics). ) paper, etc.) Editing photos with PhotoScape For many people, the ability to edit PhotoScape is important. The app works well, although its editing capabilities aren’t up to par with more complex photo editing programs.
When you open an image in the editor, you’ll see the image on the main screen, a file explorer on the left, and editing options at the bottom. Editing options can be divided into Home, Object, Crop and Tools. The main limitation here is that PhotoScape doesn’t support layers, but it does support many other great editing options.
Home allows you to resize images and apply all sorts of common effects, such aseffects, filters and medium editing options such as bloom, sharpen and black and white. Objects allow you to write over images or insert shapes and symbols on. Crop gives you plenty of options for cropping an image, and the tools give you access to more focused adjustments like red-eye removal and the clone stamp feature.
Is PhotoScape a viable alternative to Photoshop? Whether or not PhotoScape works for your image editing really depends on what you want to do or how professional you want the end result to be. If you need the polish and real creativity that layers offer, you’ll probably miss PhotoScape.
However, if you just want to do some basic editing and have fun with your photos, PhotoScape is a good choice. This allows you to have fun editing, with a much easier and more navigable app. That’s not to say PhotoScape can’t produce professional images; it just takes a little longer to get there because PhotoScape isn’t as fluid as its paid cousins.
There are no layers, but still the application is brilliant. When people talk about photo editing apps, one of the first questions that comes up is about layers. Because Photoshop is such a good application (and Photoshop has layers), it’s often considered a basic necessity when it comes to an application’s strengths.
However, the reality is that most of us don’t need layers in our photo editing. If you think you can survive without it, PhotoScape is a good place to start. It has a hands-on approach that lets you change your photos in significant ways, and unlike alternatives like Picsart, it focuses more on editing the actual photo than creating fun images to share online. If you’re looking for a photo workhorse without the price tag, PhotoScape should be your first stop.
What’s New Several changes have been made in the latest PhotoScape update. Among them: Added “Black and White” and “Bandicoot” filters (Editor > Home, Added a “Smart Blur” brush (Editor > Tools > Effect Brush), brush size increased from 3 to 4 and made it bigger, added 29 effects. finished movie, now there are 35 movie effects in total. (Editor > Home) and improved the user interface “Film effect”.
